WHO AM I?
In 2008 I also become editor of PlatformTennisNews.com following Chuck Vasoll. I am here to provide readers with my take on ideas and matters that intrigue and concern me regarding our great sport. I wish to discuss ideas and concepts not people or personalities. My goal is the betterment and growth of the wonderful sport of platform tennis. I am not promoting a specific group’s agenda or cause. I know my limitations and my skill set, and I know from time to time I am going to stir up a hornet’s nest of controversy either with individuals or with groups. Sometimes you will agree with me; sometimes you may not; sometimes you may have no opinion at all. I am neither out to please all nor intentionally offend anyone. As a great philosopher once said Multi Errores, Mullum Dubium: “I am often wrong, but never in doubt.” WHEN WILL I PUBLISH The site is intended to have a magazine format. A new “issue“ of PTN will be posted from time-to-time during the season - September through April. WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE Principally what you will find on this web site is commentary. In addition to my own "two cents worth", I am seeking columns from others, who are familiar with the sport, about the administration, rules and competition. You will be given information and, hopefully, thought provoking comments about platform tennis. WHAT DO I EXPECT TO ACCOMPLISH I want to bring another view of the world of platform tennis to you. I hope to get you to think about it and then bring your voice to change what needs to be changed and support for traditions that should remain and not be changed. COMMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS I encourage you to write a “letter to the editor” in which you agree or disagree with a point of view that I have expressed. You can send me an e-mail at info@platformtennisnews.com. I will be happy to publish your comments in a section called “Volleying”. |
