ACE – Chicago Junior Jamboree. Juniors are our sports future. Many “atta-boys” and “atta-girls” for the pros and players that volunteered to make the event such a success.

DEUCE – Platform Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame Website. The website is up and running though only about 75% complete. Take a gander http://www.platformtennishalloffame.org/  When completed, the site surely will be an ace.

ACE – PaddlePro.com. It is great to see that the folks at PaddlePro.com offering eye protection with their new $99 platform tennis starter kit. Given the close proximity of the play, eye protection should be encouraged and worn by all players.

ACE – Nyack Field Club. In celebration of Gerri Viant's 25 years of service and dedication to the Nyack Field Club and its platform tennis program, the club has recently dedicated the paddle house in her honor. Gerri is a multi-time national champion, a member of the Platform Tennis Hall of Fame and was instrumental in the creation of the PPTA. Congratulations, Gerri!

DEUCE – Platform Tennis Magazine. Lots of typos in Issue 1, but PTN.com isn’t perfect either. Wish the APTA would authorize nine issues a year so that we could get an issue for each month of play plus a lead-in and season recap issue. With the move towards web based communications by the APTA, does each issue of PTM need to be “four color” printed or as many pages?

ACE – APTA Exhibition Tour. Great job by APTA Board member Todd Ward and the other teaching pros and players who make the effort to bring platform tennis to areas of the country where future growth is possible.
